New product of 2011 Chevrolet Volt Powertrains, Performance, Safety and Driving.


This car from Chevrolet, this Chevrolet Volt is powered by electric motor rated at 149 hp (111 kW) and 273 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion batteries until the battery is 70 percent depleted. At the time, comes Volt engine 1.4-liter four-cylinder combustion that runs on gasoline or E85, to life as an alternative power source for electric motor. 

The battery can be fully recharged by either a 120 volt or 240 volt generator but the engine braking and can restore a bit. There is no transmission in the traditional sense, but rather that the Volt uses a single gear to send power to the electric motor for the front wheels. GM plans a sprint from 00 to 60 mph in 8.5 and 9 seconds at full power.
2011 Chevrolet Volt has a good collection of online and at moderate speeds, which is typical for electric cars. Its 273 pounds-feet of torque is available at any time of the former factory throttle you. The passage of the battery to power the generator can be difficult to do, if pre-production Volt, we no longer have a disturbing noise generator engine revolutions, regardless of engine speed.GM promises production models will be less noticeable in regard.
